Zeisset Genealogy

The 2019 Zeisset Reunion, held August 2-4, 2019, in Clay Center and Leonardville, KS, celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the first Zeisset reunion in 1969. See our 2019 reunion site for a description and links to the presentations.

The Zeisset Family in Germany is Loretta Hoerman's description of what we know about our ancestors. A set of 9 maps summarizes key Zeisset sites in Germany. Ray Zeisset's MyHeritage report provides a systematic list of all of our known ancestors. There are other informative items on our reading list. Two of our reunions have included a bus tour of the farms of our ancestors around Leonardville (see map).

We have several stories of our ancestors: about Henry Zeisset, Merton Zeisset, and Bettie Zeisset Hoerman. We hope to build additional stories around the immigrant's farm homes, starting with information from agriculture censuses that Loretta presented on the 2004 bus tour. Other contributions are encouraged.
